We just came back last night from going to Harry Potter World with my 10 year old daughter for spring break. I am so happy to say we had a lot of fun even though I am not one for crowds. I wanted to share something that was fantastically helpful and left me smiling and laughing much more than usual for me in crowded areas.
And I found that other people were often smiling at me and we were getting the best front row seats on rides. Things seemed to be flowing and working out in wonderful ways over and over.
I can be very affected by the energies around me so I usually don't like to stay in crowds for too long. I wanted to take my daughter to Harry Potter World even so because I see she is growing up quickly and she has been really wanting to go for a long time. She loves the Harry Potter books and has read them all a few times.
We stayed at a hotel at Universal and got the perk of getting into the park an hour before it opened so it was quiet when we arrived. My daughter was ecstatic and I was amazed at how incredibly well done Harry Potter World is.
It was really a treat for the eyes and senses. The rides were spectacular and had me smiling from ear to ear and laughing.
The park got progressively more and more crowded. Then at about lunch time I got badly triggered for about an hour and 45 minutes before I was able to get myself out of it.
A sequence of several unfortunate events happened one after the other which culminated in my daughter finding that the snacks she had stowed in her new Kavu bag were all gone as they dropped out of an open zipper, and then she lost her beloved magic wand. At this point she felt awful and I was feeling awful. I was deep into a triggered spiral.
A line snaked around and around outside of the Harry Potter restaurant my daughter wanted to go to that is modeled after one in the books.
So we went back to our hotel room. I made something healthy for us to eat and meditated. I finally felt better.
I was determined to figure out how to keep myself from getting triggered again and from getting affected by the crowds.
To keep myself from absorbing energies and also to stay in the present moment so I wouldn't get triggered, I kept saying to myself like a mantra, “ I love myself enough to let in pure Source love and light”.
I visualized divine light and love filling me up from the top of my head down through my body and going deep into the center of the earth.
This gave me really nice, bright and loving feeling and also made me feel grounded and rooted. I concentrated on opening my heart and sending divine love, joy, peace and light out to everybody there and also concentrated on expanding divine love and light out from my heart wider and wider.
I did this back at the park, as we stood in line. I also did a deep breathing pattern. I breathed in deeply to the count of 6 held for 2 and breathed out the the count of 6 to get into Alpha brain state.
At the same time, I felt awareness of all parts of my body to be fully present in my body, and I also got onto the whole brain state by focusing on space around objects I was looking at.
The effect of doing this was great! In line going through the rooms of the spectacular Hogswart School Castle I felt giggly and laughed at the amazing things to see there. The same thing happened when we were on the Hogswart Express train ride between the parks.
Focusing on expanding out high frequency energy from my heart, I think, was what kept me from absorbing energy from the crowds.
I noticed people smiling at me. And we met and talked with really nice people.
On the second day also, I did not get triggered. I kept saying the mantra to myself and doing what I described. I was able to comfortably be in the crowds at the Mardi Gras music festival in the park’s representation of the streets of New Orleans. We were all clapping and dancing. It was a lot of fun.
Other highlights included the Jimmy Fallon Race Through New York at Universal’s version of NBC Studios at Rockefeller Center. It was super funny and lots of fun.
The Spiderman ride was an hour wait, although the other wait times with our express pass had been only about 20 minutes. I kept saying the mantra to myself in line and doing what I explained, then noticed that people in passing were smiling at me in warm ways.
We talked to a very nice family in front of us and then we got great front row seats on the ride. The ride was so much fun. It made me smile ear to ear and laugh the whole time.
That afternoon, we even got the lost magic wand back at the lost and found, which felt fantastic.
What happened that worked so well was getting into a high frequency by feeling Divine light and love come in my body and expanding it out.
I had neglected to set my alarms on my smartphone the first day at the park like I usually do to remind me get into Alpha brain state, feel awareness of all parts of my body and get into whole brain state.
I am then relaxed, connected with intuition and then with intention, it’s way easier to be focused in the present moment. When you are relaxed and focused in the Now it is harder to get triggered.
But since being in crowds for a long time tends to eventually make me feel overwhelmed and make me tense, the mantra I was saying was incredibly helpful for feeling connected to the Universe or Source. It helped raise my energetic frequency as did focusing on expanding Divine love, light, peace, joy and blessings out to everyone from my heart.
